Scientific Name : Calathea 'Roseopicta'

Common Name : Rose Painted Calathea, Black Rose

Leaves elliptic to ovate, to 25cm long by 20cm wide; upper surface of leaf very dark green appearing almost black, with bright pink markings; mid rib bright pink. Inflorescence to 15cm tall, bracts green. Flowers white with a purple lip. They are popular as houseplants because of their tolerance of shade. The best indoor, less maintenance plant and ideal for home and offices.

3) The water-level indicator shows exactly when and how much to water. It prevents plants from drying out as well as from damage by over watering.

PLANT CARE INSTRUCTIONS

LIGHT : Place the plant under shelter with as much light as possible without exposure to direct sunlight. 

WATERING : Pour water over the expanded clay aggregates until the red needle in the water-level indicator reaches the optimum mark (1/2). Only add water when the red needle in the indicator reaches the minimum mark (min). NEVER BEFORE.

FERTILIZER : Dissolve 1 capful of Island Liquid Nutrient to 1 liter of water and pour the diluted nutrient over the expanded clay aggregates. Apply every alternate watering of your hydrocuture plants.
